1What services does our Law Firm offer?
The catalog of cases that fall within the scope of our law firm's services is basically open. The OFFER tab contains a detailed list of matters that lawyers cooperating with us deal with in their daily practice. If the matter that the client would like to entrust us with is beyond our scope of interest, we are most likely able to indicate an external entity that will provide professional legal services.
2Does our Law Firm run cases that has place in the other city than Wroclaw?
Yes. Our office is based in Wrocław, so we naturally conduct most cases in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, but when the good of the case requires it or our client wishes it, we serve clients throughout the country.
3How can I arrange legal advice with a lawyer?
You can arrange a meeting with a lawyer by phone, e-mail or in person at the headquarters of our law firm in Wroclaw.
4I live abroad. Can I commission a case without coming to Poland?
Yes, meeting in person is always very nice, but it is not a necessity. If the client finds it more convenient to cooperate remotely, there is no problem to do this.
5Does our Law firm provide advice online or by e-mail?
Yes, we provide teleconsultations and e-mail advice. Teleconsultation with a lawyer takes place after the client has made a prepayment and after arranging a date for the conversation that is convenient for both parties. In the case of e-mail advice, the lawyer provides it in writing, establishing direct contact with the client.
6What documents should I prepare for a meeting with a lawyer?
We kindly ask you to prepare all documents related to the case and which may be important for it. During the meeting, the lawyer is going to review the materials provided and indicate any other desired documents or sources of evidence and the course of action in the case.
7What is the cost of legal advice?
The cost of advice is PLN 100 - 500 gross, which is usually included in the main fee when a case is commissioned.
8Does your Law Firm provide free legal advice?
Our Law Firm is involved in charity initiatives, but if we provide pro bono legal services, we do so only as part of organized social campaigns. On a daily basis, it is not possible to obtain free legal advice at a law firm.
9Do lawyers cooperating with the law firm speak foreign languages?
Our lawyers are fluent in English. If the client does not speak Polish or English or the nature of the case requires it, we use the services of qualified translators who can successfully participate in the conversation (it is also possible to arrange an interpreter for the conversation in a prison).
10How can I pay for the legal advice or case management?
We accept payments by card, in cash, by transfer to the law firm's bank account in PLN or EUR, or by bank transfer (Western Union).
11Does your law firm issue fiscal receipts or VAT invoices?
Yes, we issue a fiscal receipt to individuals and a VAT invoice to companies.
12Can I make an appointment outside the office's opening hours, e.g. on a weekend or on holidays?
In criminal cases, where response time is often important and immediate legal assistance is necessary, we are able to ensure the presence of a lawyer outside the office's regular opening hours, including on days off. In civil matters, our lawyer is available to you from Monday to Friday during our office's opening hours, i.e. from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
13My case is already in the court - can I still have it conducted and represented in court?
Yes. It is true that the most desirable situation is to entrust the case to a professional representative from the very beginning, however, every good lawyer is able to successfully start the proceedings at every stage.
14Will entrusting the case to your Law Firm guarantee that I will win the case?
Using professional legal assistance always increases the chances of winning, but no law firm that respects its clients can guarantee the outcome of the case because it is influenced by many variables. Court proceedings are usually dynamic, and while an experienced lawyer is able to assess the chances of success of the case at the initial stage of its conduct, with a high degree of certainty, the number of factors that will ultimately influence the court's decision is unpredictable. We always make every effort to ensure that our clients are satisfied with the final result, but guaranteeing a win would be too much.
15How long does the court proceedings take?
The length of the proceedings depends on many factors, including the attitude of the parties, the amount of evidence that the court has planned to conduct, and even the number of cases in a given judge's office, not to mention random events that may also affect the speed of the proceedings. Since clients' feelings about the speed of the case or its lengthiness are very relative, it is always our lawyer who decides whether there has been a violation of the party's right to have the case heard in court proceedings without undue delay. If the duration of the case exceeds the accepted standards or violates the regulations, we respond immediately, using all legal procedural tools available.
16Do I have to be present at all hearings?
When summoned by the court, the party is obliged to appear at the hearing, while notice of the date is only informative and does not oblige the party to appear. In civil matters, the Covid-19 pandemic forced significant changes on the Polish judiciary. Currently, with the court's consent, participation in the hearing may take place remotely, the party may also submit written testimony, but the absence of the party will not always result in negative procedural consequences, therefore our lawyer decides if it is necessary to appear in the courtroom (in person or remotely). In criminal cases, courts are still reluctant to conduct remote hearings, but, as in civil cases, failure to appear in the courtroom, despite being summoned, does not always result in negative consequences for the accused.
17Which lawyer from your Law Firm should I choose to handle my cases?
By calling our Law Firm, the client obtains information about which of the lawyers cooperating with us will handle his case. Due to the fact that we have a large team of lawyers, we are able to recommend a specific lawyer whose experience best suits the type of case that the client would like to entrust us with.
18Is there a parking in the near of your Law Firm?
Our Law Office is located in the very heart of Wroclaw, so there is no separate parking space available. However, designated paid parking spaces are located directly on every street in the vicinity of the entire market square, and the fees are paid in parking meter (card or cash). Near the tenement house where our office is located, there are usually 3 spaces designated for electric cars. We encourage non-motorized people to use public transport, as access to the office is very good from virtually every part of the city.
